VI BI VENEZIA
Born and raised in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, the Arrivabene sisters put their own twist on the Friulane slippers, a symbol of Venetian tradition. These velvet slippers, characterized by a thick rubber sole (usually made from old bicycle tires) were traditionally worn by gondoliers, so as not to ruin the paint of their expensive gondolas. Fascinated by the slippers and their history, the two sisters decided to channel their love and passion for Venice into their work by creating something that would capture the magic and charme of the City. Every slipper is handcrafted by Italian artisans with life-long experience, using a wide variety of hand-picked textiles.
